Corfu

[Snoods]

Anyone been to Corfu in the last year or 2?
I have been but we stayed in a very quiet area so just the hotel and then nothing unless we got the bus. Now looking for somewhere for next June, where there’s at least 5 or 6 bars/restaurants close to each other so we can make a week of eating and drinking out, and on a bus route ideally. Thanks in advance

Kassiopi is gorgeous and full of wonderful restaurants. We saw buses passing through regularly. No big sandy beach right there but rather smaller pebble beaches (with gorgeous water).

Transfer takes a while (longer in a coach, we always hire a car) due to the winding road from the airport.

We went to agios georgios north 2 years ago which was beautiful and had about 8 or so nice restaurants. We found it too quiet though as it is all quite spread out and we were there for 2 weeks a week would have been perfect so I wouldn't rule it out in the future. The beach here was beautiful and apparently one of the best on the island as it is a mixvof sand and pebble. We are looking at Roda for our next holiday which still seems nice and quiet just slightly more going on. If you have a look on you tube there are tons of videos of people walking round doing reviews etc of lots of different areas. I have a friend who has been going to Benitses for years and this looks like a fab little place too but I like more if a beach than they have there.
Good luck I don't think you can really go wrong as long as you stay away from the really wild places.

We go to Kassiopi in north east however did a few nights in Messonghi in the South last year. It's like a different island!
There were realky good restaurants there. You're also next to the resort of Moraitika if you want more choice.

We are off to Kassiopi tomorrow. I cannot wait!
