How do you make your luggage stand out?

I try to buy cases that aren't blue or black and I've always wrapped a bit of bright fabric round the handles as well as luggage straps.
Last time we flew ( east Midlands) they made me remove the fabric ties and said they weren't allowed any more.
Just thinking about alternatives.
Please don't tell me to travel hand luggage only as it's not going to happen.

I have a red woven strap with my name on it around the case.

Ours just have coloured electrical tape on the handles.

I learned this after my first ever solo flight abroad when it seemed that just about all the other passengers had the same medium sized black suitcase from Matalan that I did.

I always buy bright luridly coloured luggage, and add stickers on too. This helped me once in Dublin airport when a man tried to walk off with my case.

I bought a neon yellow American Tourister from TK Maxx. No doubt a great bargain because of the lurid colour. Unfortunately it picked up dirty marks on it’s first outing so I subsequently bought a nylon luggage cover from Amazon. It zips on snuggly so along with the usual luggage locks makes the case feel secure and I can wash it when I return home.
(I’m pretty sure the conveyor belts and luggage transporters are very grubby)

I have just bought a bright pink luggage strap to put around my new black suitcase. I’ll put some stickers of some sort on too. Already regretting buying black and not the turquoise I could have had. I was being sensible. I might put a cable tie around the handle and cut it short too.

Twice I have ended up with the wrong case. Funnily enough both times at Dublin airport @AdaColeman.

We do the same with the small black case we have. White tape around the handle and across the front.

Our large luggage is lime green - so easy to find!

My rucksack is a lovely shade of orange. I’ve never seen another the same colour.

Tkmaxx was our friend! Garish, bright orange with "retro" brown and white flowers. Never seen luggage like it. The brighter, and uglier, and dirtier the better. No one is taking my bag!

I had a bright green case and a fluorescent pink one. Both were those shell cases and I didn't like them and I replaced with boring green Tripp cases. Though actually now I use packing cubes the shells might work for me.

I take it no-one has had problems with luggage labels?
Maybe I just got a jobsworth who didn't like red scarves on luggage. They did make a big fuss about it though.

We brought some luggage stickers for ours from Amazon. They are fab! We decorated our case in them to make it look funky and unique. They stayed stuck, didn't come off (and are still there looking fine despite loads of trips) and we can spot them a mile off when the come onto the luggage conveyor belt 😂

We have a luggage strap on our relatively distinctive cases (not overly garish colours, one red one grey, and now one green one black, but in a style we bought from Samsonite/Antler directly and we’ve never seen anyone else have before!
