Trip to Canada and US East Coast next month - clothing tips

Going on a cruise starting in Montreal, ending in Miami. Wondering how warm it will be in Canada in October. Will I need really warm clothing or will hoodies/fleeces over t shirts be ok?

It can rain! Packable Mac and layers. NY can be chilly too. Personally I’d also take a down jacket. The lighter weight ones. It can be pretty crisp on the east coast. Plus a hat if you get cold ears!

We did NY to Bahamas’s in Oct and NY was cold. Where are you stopping?
