Myself and my husband had the best holidays in Protaras before kids. We went on our first holiday abroad to Protaras with our two kids, 5 and 1, in May this year. We stayed in a fantastic hotel (Sunrise Oasis) and we planned on booking again for 2026 because we could not fault anything. The hotel had allocated sunbeds (which might seem like a small thing but holidays with kids are stressful enough without taking part in sunbed wars!), an onsite waterpark and splash park, dine out options on the all inclusive. Unfortunately, the prices are crazy for next year compared to what we paid this year. We are very familiar with the area and that’s what keeps drawing us back, because we feel safe there. We love going out with the hotel and having plenty to do nearby. For example in May we did a submarine boat trip, explored nearby sea caves, went on a day trip to the ghost town Varosha. We walked to the strip most days to break up the day and visited the beach a few times too! I do however feel like we may have exhausted Protaras and we were wondering how Paphos compares. I’ve also been looking at hotels in the Paphos area and there seem to be a lot more affordable all inclusive options. Can anyone please give me an idea of how Paphos compares to Protaras? Which areas are best for exploring, being close to the beach/shops/restaurants, what are the best things to do in the area? Bonus if you can recommend a Jet2 hotel suitable for a 6 year old and 2 year old (ages next year) which preferably has a splash park. Thank you!
