Going away with a group of people, inc 3 children, who are either DC or DGC, non of the children are mine. We are splitting transport just between adults, but what do we do re other bills, meals etc?

Depends how many there are. You could do a kitty if you don’t want to have separate bills at the table - or there are bill splitting apps you could download if you tend to pay by card.
Also depends on finances - are they all your dc and gdc? Are you struggling for money or are they?

Maybe tell the group you are going to pay for your own meal (or you and your partner if you have one) as there are different sized families within the group.

you’ve not given much info? Is it family? Is it self catering? Are the kids teens or toddlers?

You can do what you want with bills and expenses but you need to decide what you want and discuss it before the trip. Sometimes it can be awkward to raise who’s paying for what but I’d much rather a moments awkwardness than ending up paying for other people when I don’t want to. I don’t drink alcohol so I don’t want to be paying out too much for other people’s alcohol.

kids food can be really expensive so I think it’s unfair of parents to expect other people to pay for their kids.
