Manchester airport parking T3

Looking for people’s recent experiences please. Last year pre booked the expensive multi-storey close to terminal thinking it was some sort of premium thing and when we got there it was full. Cue a panicked drive round before a fiasco with coming in and out of the barriers and eventually an adviser suggesting we park in the drop off area immediately adjacent. They let us out when we returned but had to explain it all again at the barrier as the drop off area wanted to charge us hundreds of ££. So fine in the end but stressful.

Thought I’d be able to get a lift this year but doesn’t look possible. It’s me and a 3 year old travelling this weekend and some options are clearly already full. Currently debating the drop and go option as potentially the least faff. I don’t want to be negotiating a bus and although I wasn’t planning to take a pushchair I can. The only other on airport ones with space are the multi-storey and mid stay.

Hit me with your recent experiences please and any other suggestions I haven’t thought of!

I've used Meet and Greet twice with no problems. Very convenient.

Both mid-stay and drop and go are a couple of minutes walk from T3, so either are good options, no need to get a bus. They literally back on to each other, have a look on Google maps. Mid-stay good if you want to take your keys with you, but max stay is a week I think. Used drop and go the last 2 times, either because we were over a week, or it was cheaper, and been really happy both times. You do need to keep hold of the slip of paper you get when you drop off your keys (and know where you put it), as you need it when you get back. The walk way from terminal to Drop and Go is undercover, but through the multi-story car park, whereas from mid-stay you have to walk outside. I'd book the cheapest if it was me.

I parked in Jetparks Ringway last week, no problems at all. Free shuttle bus to terminal, about 10 mins.

Bjorkdidit · 03/09/2025 21:41

I don't like Jetparks because you have to find a space and if other people park badly, there's no spaces because there's 3/4 of a space here and 1/4 of a space somewhere else IYSWIM.

Both Drop and Go and official Meet and Greet are great and an easy walk to the terminal.

We usually book direct through quidco.com or using the Holiday Extras link on Moneysavingexpert.com for the best price.

Agree with previous poster - just walk from Drop and Go to Terminal 3.

megacat · 03/09/2025 21:52

I know you don’t want the hassle of a bus but I thought jet parks Ringway was great. Tons of empty spaces and the staff help with luggage. There are plenty of stops in the car park and you’re dropped right at the terminal.

We've used jet parks ringway twice this summer with no issues and would use again.
Last year we did the multi-story too and drove around for ages before we eventually found 1 very tight space. I too thought this would be the least stressful option but driving round a seemingly full carpark was more stressful than expected.

In July jet parks ringway had loads of space. In Augast it was much more full; we noticed an overflow car park (which I didn't notice in July, but I might have just not seen) but there were still lots of spaces and we parked in about the 4th row that we drove up / down looking for a space.

HarrietBond · 04/09/2025 16:27

I hated Jetparks. Maybe I was unlucky but it was jammed (random weekend in autumn) and I had to drive through field after field to find a space, with not brilliant visibility of where the spaces were as people had parked quite randomly. No hints as to what order the fields might fill up by and therefore where to head to be most likely to find a space. And by the time I found a corner of a field, the shuttle journey took me round the entire site and took 30 minutes to the terminal (and was marked as such on the bus stop). I was so grateful I'd left myself loads of time.

Cutleryclaire · 04/09/2025 16:37

Definitely Drop and Go. It’s much cheaper than meet and greet but really close to T3, you don’t walk far at all and no need for a bus.

Bjorkdidit · 04/09/2025 16:40

That was my experience of Jetparks too @HarrietBond, although admittedly its got to be at least 10 years since we used it. It took an hour from arriving at Jetparks to walking into the terminal and I'd rather spend the extra £10/20 for Meet and Greet.

As well as holiday travel I often go on short trips for work when I sometimes use the multi storey. My tip for that is drive straight up to the roof and don't bother looking for spaces on the way. There's always been plenty of space up there.

It was an hour for me too. I've since done what you've done and paid for Meet and Greet. Worth every penny.

Meet and Greet is the best. It's not much more expensive and the convenience makes it worth the extra.

passmeaglass · 04/09/2025 18:12

Thanks everyone I concluded there’s no good option here, at least nothing that’s still available! I’ve come up with an alternative and am just thankful that we can fly from Leeds for most of our holidays!

I agree, we also use Drop and Go, especially for terminals one and three. There are loads of good options tbf.

Is drop and go full? Because that’s a very good option. Especially for a T3 flight where you have a very short walk to the terminal.

passmeaglass · 04/09/2025 19:24

Yes drop and go is now full unfortunately and I didn’t want to chance the multi storey - some positive experiences but also negative

Thanks for the info though as I’m sure we’ll have to travel from man again
