Solo holiday before school summer holidays - any recommendations?

I am going on a solo holiday next year, can’t bloody wait. Want to before the holidays but it’s been so long since I went away at that time of year does anyone have recommendations please?

I like very warm / hot, ideally not too long a flight away, think Greek islands for temp? hotel or self catering if restaurants are easy walk, decent pool, on or near a sandy beach. Oh and not too long a transfer to airport too!

oh and I don’t want a ‘singles’ holiday, this is about some time out and proper relaxation.

Sardinia will probably be hotter than many of the Greek islands, and it’s only 2 hours 30 mins flight from London. Hotel Abi d’Oru is a spa and beach hotel not very far from Olbia airport.

What month are you planning on travelling? We’ve been to Greece many times in June and it’s always been very warm. Skiathos is our favourite island.

I went on my own to Gran Canaria and was surprised at the number of singles in my hotel.
It’s warm all year round and hot in the summer although less inclined to get into the 40’s than Greece/ southern Europe. . It’s not a massive island so transfer by taxi is probably an hour at very most to the other side. It was 35 mins to Puerto Rico.
It is a 4 hour flight but there’s no time difference so you don’t lose an hour or two going out.
Loads of stuff to do and nice golden sand beaches.

Ooh thank you all. Late June I guess. I don’t know why but I’ve always had something against the Canaries, might be time to get over that!

I went to the South of France for my first solo trip in June and it was bliss!

Yes also done the South of France solo and it works very well. It’s a bit pricier and the beaches aren’t as good. Stunning views and French food make up for it. Airport in Nice is c5 min walk to St Augustine train station. You can go up or down the coast to any of the towns you fancy.

I’m going to the south of France by myself next week. Specifically Cassis. I’m going by train.
