We filled in the forms and dd has been provisionally accepted on a kids adventure programme in new Mexico

Does she need a visa? She is 12, flying alone and has current UK passpoet

Not sure if this helps, but I think she would need a visa --- you can have a look here and here

Be sure that her passport is valid for 6 months! We almost ran into a problem because my dd's passport expires in July and we were flying in May and they almost did not let us fly.

HTH

I think she can travel under the visa waiver program? certainly dd did (with me) a couple of years ago

here you go
visa waiver

She'll be fine under the visa waiver. Just make sure you have the exact information about the people picking her up at the other end, because they will need to show id and be the person you have specified in order for the airline to release her to them.
