Single mum Oct Half Term Holiday Idea

I am a single mum based in london . Don’t drive. I want to take my 7yo DD on holiday this October half term to cheer her up. She is quite active. Ideally I would like to take her abroad but don’t mind a local holiday either. We have never been to a holiday park. I am a bit unsure if it’s the right place for us as single mum and DD being an only child. Would she feel lonely there? Budget is modest. £800 for two. Any recommendations?

I’m a single mum to a 10 year old, he still loves a holiday park tbh.

we’ve done lots of holiday parks in the UK (Yorkshire, wales, Devon, Cornwall) and some in France (there’s a lovely one outside of Paris with the added debatable extra of being near Disneyland). If your DD is active I think a holiday park would work. There’s lots of activities you can book onto and swimming pools etc.

You might find a bargain break to Canary Islands, Turkey, Cyprus or Morocco. Just did a quick search on TUI for you. 5 nights coming in around 1200 total if you can stretch the budget but have a look at Jet 2 as well.

Also been a lone parent for 15 years. DD used to love going to Camber Sands/Rye. You can get the train to Rye from London.

Not a holiday park but we did 4 days York at that age and DD loved it, direct train from Kings Cross and everything is walkable.

We did Cornwall (s/c) and New Forest (Sandy Balls) in October before and had a real mix of weather and were glad we had a car.

Look at benalmadena and fuengirola on jet2. Depending on what day u can fly u can get cheap 4/5 days. About 23 degrees and very family friendly. If u have the jet2 app I think can get discount and they also do single parent discounts.
