Zaktnthos in October half term?

Has anyone been and is it warm enough to sit on a beach and swimn in the sea?

Not worried if its a bit chilly at night.

It will be warm but it gets dark much earlier so the sun bathing day is shorter. Out of the sun it’s cold. We went to Rhodes last year for comparison. This time we will go Egypt/tunisia etc as it’s much hotter.

Cyprus and Crete have a better chance of food weather. Zakynthos might be lovely, might be cold and wet. It will be largely shut down too.

I went Oct half term last year. It was warm & pleasant in the day, cooler but not chilly at night, mostly didn't even need a cardi. We went to the beach and swam in the sea - the sea was actually warmer than the hotel pool (which was freezing!).
Things were just beginning to wind down for the winter - but I think they know they get a lot for half term holiday, so it wasn't all closed up or anything.
It was nice, there wasn't the intense heat of August.

Not guaranteed by any means. It's one of the Ionian islands and typically they get a lot of rain from September. If you want it warm go further south.

We went to Kefalonia in October (very close to zakynthos) and it was very changeable. A few days of torrential rain, storms that took the pier out across the entire island. I wouldn’t go that late in the year again.

Oct half term is a bit too late weather wise for Zakynthos. Crete or Rhodes are the best bets in Greece. Outside Greece but still in that general area, Malta and Cyprus normally have good weather then.
