Hi all, I'm going to these places end of September. Would love some tips from anyone who has been. I'm a bit freaked out at how expensive Vegas is, so any budgeting tips would be great. Also any shows that you thought were worth seeing? I'm not really a hiker so any tips about Yosimite Park or Death Valley gratefully received! ( and also what to wear ) Thanks in advance!

We did LA - Las Vegas - Death Valley - (Yosemite) - San Fran - Carmel - Santa Barbara.

Furnace Creek was great, like others have said. We hadn't intended to actually stay there but Yosemite was on fire so we used it as a stop for a night before heading to up and around. We stopped at Lee Vining for the night too where i had the best pie of my life, and we visited Bodie ghost town while we were there which we really enjoyed.

Las Vegas, we really enjoyed the neon museum and we visited the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam by car, travelling along some of old Route 66 was fun.

You can do click and collect to Walmart if you really want a kettle.
I just drink coffee!

We went to the ghost town of Bodie::

The teenage DCs loved the ghost town above all else.

Second Bodie, one of the places you have to visit if you can when you in that part of the world.

We bought a cool box and stocked on food and drink throughout the trip. Free ice everywhere in the hotels and inns.

Snap! We had a polystyrene one and we also used it for BBQs in various state and national parks (BBQs are provided in parks in the US - bring charcoal and foil)
