Where to go in Italy at Easter

We have to go in school holidays and I want something super easy for a week. I’ve always wanted to visit Italy, so we’re thinking about a package deal somewhere where we can relax, but also do sightseeing. Kids will be 16/14 and pretty interested in new places, the odd museum/ art gallery but also love a pool.
a) which tour operators do you recommend? (Budget is about £5-6k for flights and accommodation)
b) where to go in Italy? Options seem to be Rome, Sorrento, Florence, Venice (which DH is not keen on) or Milan.

Thanks!

South is better for early season, Sicily would be an excellent option at that age lots of old Greek architecture etc but excellent for people watching in cafes too. There’s resorts just south of Taormina I recommend

You could base yourself at Lake Garda, then do really easy trips to Venice, Verona, etc.

Or you could do a hotel with a pool in Sorrento and visit Positano, Capri, Amalfi…

I would say Taormina too! Or try Puglia
