Pushchair on ryanair

Travelling this week from Luton airport with a pushchair. Do we have to queue to get a tag on the pushchair or can we go to the gate and they will tag it there. We are travelling with hand luggage only. It’s not really answered on the Ryanair website or Luton airport.

Trying to avoid the check in desk if we can.

thanks

Ryanair website states the below, but on another point also states that they recommend you get to check in desk at least 2 hours before your flight:

You can bring 2 items of carry-on baby equipment for free.
This can include a pushchair/buggy, car seat, booster seat or travel cot. These will need to be tagged at the check-in desk or at the boarding gate.

Thank you. We will be there 2 hours before but can often queue for 40 mins at check in- so was hoping to just go to the gate.
