At 12yo I would imagine he can make his own choices, so just ask him surely?

Also for a 4 hr flight he wont need much,
just one movie would be enough?

Isn't half the fun choosing which in-flight movie to watch? Depends what he likes too - comedy or action or Disney etc. I'd leave him to it, but say he needs to check with you with his selection in case any of them are not suitable for his age.

In flight movie 😆 do you think the OP is flying in 1998?

More than likely it’ll be easyJet, jet2 no frills.

My kids like series on iPlayer, like Ghosts or the Traitors. Beast Games on Prime is brilliant too

Newinsolesrequired · 25/08/2025 13:10

Why can’t he pick what he wants and download it himself?

TheNightingalesStarling · 25/08/2025 13:14

New series of Wednesday?

Although we had a 4 hour flight on Tui this summer and we had screens on the seat backs with loads of films to chose.

HollyhockDays · 25/08/2025 13:24

Agree they are old enough to decide themselves.

Snorlaxo · 25/08/2025 13:29

My kids had their own opinions on this by age 12.

They didn’t listen to audiobooks but had Spotify playlists that they’d chosen over time.

3pears · 25/08/2025 13:31

We also had screens on our 4 hour Tui flight but not on our 4 hour easy jet one so depends on the airline.

im sure the DS can make his own choices but Op is only asking for ideas. OP, my DS likes Wednesday, Ghosts and any kid of action film. If your DS hasn’t started Ghosts (must be UK version), then he’s in for a treat- it’s brilliant!

My ten year old just goes through Netflix / prime / now and picks what to download. This year was tons of the simpsons episodes, and then a couple of the avengers films

becauseican12 · 25/08/2025 19:18

Thanks yes he can make his own choices of course but there is so much choice I wanted to direct him to some things which other 12 year olds have liked so he can have an idea. Thanks for suggestions

and yes it’s easyJet so unlikely to be any films!
