Looe

Has anyone stayed in this area of Cornwall as I am after things to do.
We were hoping to mostly swim and kayak but it doesn’t look like the best weather so will also need some days out. We did the Eden project last year so that is no good.
We do like to potter so any towns worth seeing in the area?

We spent a week in a cottage on the outskirts of Looe a couple of years ago. Day trips to Fowey, Polperro, Lanhydrock House were all lovely. There are also nice walks along the river, creeks and woods.

Port Eliot House and Antony aren’t far away. Polperro coastline and lots of things to see and do in Saltash including seeing the famous I K Brunel bridge and trips up the Tamar River. It’s a very attractive area.

Bodmin is about 30 mins away. There’s a small but excellent science museum if you dc are primary age. For older children, Bodmin jail is a good half day out.
