Dominican Republic Trip - 1 year old

Hi there, myself, my partner and my son are travelling to the Dominican Republic soon from the UK and I just have a few questions:

Is it necessary still for us to take malaria tablets? I read somewhere that around 8 years ago it was no longer a necessity?

Myself and my partner got the Revaxis vaccine in 2019 when we last travelled to DR and they said that lasted 9 years (if I remember rightly) so am I correct in assuming we do not need any further vaccinations to travel to DR?

Many thanks in advance for your advice!

Hi @WindyRoses - thank you, I have looked at this link a few times and find it advisory rather than difinitive. I also did a questionnaire with Boots and SuperDrug regarding the required vaccines/tablets and both said none were needed but I wanted to ask first hand, people's experiences.

What experiences are you looking for?

You have gathered all the best advice already. If you are this concerned, perhaps DR isn't the destination for your family.
