Thinking about a few days in Sardinia next year, flying into Olbia. We tend to self-cater but I'm thinking I'd like a resort this time around with half-board to keep things easy. Just getting a bit overwhelmed looking at the options! I've been checking out the Delphina resorts but would welcome recommendations for 4-5* family friendly resorts- anyone stayed anywhere that they loved? Ideally with good food, a pool(s), and walking distance to at least one nice beach (we would rent a car but with kids it's nice to have a home base option) and other beaches nearby where parking and beach reservations aren't a total PITA. A colleague recently stayed in Santa Teresa Gailura which sounded lovely BUT they had an awful time trying to go to the town beach because the reservations were full. Just trying to avoid that kind of situation. TIA.

Sardinia is so gorgeous that on some ways it’s a waste to be in an AI resort! If you can do a fly-drive, you’ll get more out of the holiday. La Madelenna - an island in the north - is incredible and you can do a boat trip to the most incredible swim spots I’ve seen in Europe. Sorry I’m not much help on resorts!
