5* Adult only end of Sep/Oct

Has anyone been to a true 5* hotel recently and wouldn’t mind sharing details? Ideally Greece

We usually book through Jet2 or Tui but open to all.

It’s been a shit year and we need a good break.

We are going to Atrium Palace in Rhodes in September. Not adults only but gets great reviews

Minos Palace. It’s surrounded by water on 3 sides so you feel completely cut off and private, but it’s only 30mins walk from the town centre.

I saw that one today, it looks lovely but I’ve not been to a hotel with children for a long time so unsure about booking.

The Telegraph has a hotels section on line. They will list the best rated hotels. Personally I don’t care about 5 stars. They are a bit of a tick list. I much prefer style and location.

Rhodes has Mayia resort, Boutique 5, Zante - Alua Sol, Crete - Domes of Elounda, Phaea Blue Palace. These are beautiful places to stay and not really family resorts.

I second the Mayia in Rhodes, having been twice. With both Jet2 and Tui, private transfers are included but note the transfer time is around an hour from airport.

Minos art hotel - Crete. So good we’re returning next month.

You can filter through jet2 and other sites for adult only. Not been on an adult only as usually have dc with me.

Also DD finds great hotels via Conde Nast traveller. She had wonderful hotels in Sri Lanka on her holiday there.

I rave about Domes Noruz Chania in Chania, Crete. I've been 2 times now, both as a sole traveller. It's fully adults only, on the beach, the most fantastic hotel and Chania is nearby and lovely.

I'm looking into where to go next year for my solo travel, would you recommend this hotel for a solo traveller? It looks lovely.

Yes definitely. I'd happily go there alone.

Minos Beach Art Hotel. There for the second year running and it's idyllic. Same hotel group as Minos Palace.

Daios Cove, Crete, its proper five star.
