Hi all
We booked an extremely last minute Airbnb and we arrived yesterday in split. We are staying in a place called kastel sucurac and have a hire car.
Yesterday we tried visiting some beaches but we couldn't get parked anywhere! I struggle with walking so it's hard to walk much or public transport.

Can anyone recommend beaches that have good parking? Also we wanted to do a day trip to Bol or Brac so need to work out the ferries but when you get there is there parking?

Looking forward so much to swimming in the sea so was a bit gutted yesterday to find we couldn't even get near it as everywhere was heaving.
We don't mind travelling to other places for the day so if there are good spots further away from the city we will go.

We did a day trip to Trogir from Split, but we got the bus so I'm unsure about car parking. Trogir was nice and less crowded than Split, but obviously the beaches are the same as most in Croatia - pebble and not overly wide. I assume you have water shoes? If not therr will be places to buy them.

We will take a trip there tonight. Was there plenty of places to eat?

We bought sea shoes with us so looking forward to using them lol

From memory, yes - there was a town square with eateries around it and then also around the harbour. However it has been years since we went (10+ years) so I imagine it has changed a lot. We started in the north of the country and coast/island hopped south to Dubrovnik so we went to a lot of places but from what I recall, Trogir was much quieter and more "relaxed" than Split, which felt very touristy in comparison.

Use the parking garages for leaving it for the whole day.
They are open 24/7, and should have parking even in peak season.

Agorus Garage is pretty big

Look here for beach ideas. Some may be quieter than others

We recently stayed in the Amadria Park resort on Sibenik - about an hour's drive from Split. It has a water park and also a strip of lovely beaches that weren't insanely crowded. I think you can pay to park in the resort and access the beaches - and obviously buy tickets to the water park if you wanted to go (it's pricey though). Not 100% sure on the access and parking costs for people not staying at the resort but worth looking into. Loads of places to eat on the beachfront too.

We stayed on Brac a couple of years ago and loved the quiet pace there. There is a great beach where you can swim (with sea shoes). When you find it (it’s not far from the ferry port, very walkable) keep following the path round, past the noisy section and you’ll arrive at a super quiet secluded spot which wasn’t busy at all when we visited in August. There are a few chairs to hire too. From Brac, you can also visit Zlatni Rat which is around 40 minutes by car. That’s a large beach with places to eat and parking. It’s a nice day trip.

We used the taxi boat from Trogir to Split which was good fun.
