DH and I have had some really rough times over the years and haven't managed to ever go abroad together. Hopefully (touch wood) things are on the up from September this year and we want to go away on holiday next year. I am so bloody EXCITED!

It's us and DS who will be 16 in March next year. Him and DH both have ADHD so would like to be near somewhere with activities (DS would really like to jet ski), not bothered about sight seeing etc, and probably would prefer a villa. I would like to lay on a sun lounger and read 20 books and eat delicious food.

I welcome any and all recommendations because I've no idea where to start! I think we would go mid July after GCSEs.

Thank you!

Perhaps look at the villas with a private pool at this resort in Croatia https://www.valamarcamping.com/istra-camp-porec/mobile-homes/orlandin-homes-villas There’s an on-site restaurant and bar with board service for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner if you don’t want to worry about cooking. The site has a water park and the most amazing line up of sports for your DH and DS https://www.valamarcamping.com/istra-camp-porec/sport-entertainment

Sport & Entertainment

Valamar Camping Istra offers everything from light morning exercise to exciting sports tournaments and adventure water sports.

What's your budget and how are you with super hot weather? In July you might find yourself with 40 degree heat and wildfires in some areas.

This is the thread I was about to start. Two teens, and and dh.

GCSEs finish before mid-July. Don’t go then as it is when the schools break up and you pay a premium.

What is your budget? Never been abroad before and want plenty of water sports and a fantastic waterpark? Costa Adeje and Siam Park. Your kid will absolutely love it and Tenerife is the easiest first holiday with something for every budget

We stayed in a small villa in Playa Blanca lanzarote that might suit.

Walking distance to beach, marina, supermarket, bakery, restaurant. Watersports almost certainly available locally and good public transport and excursions to attractions if you don't want to drive.
