Error on Passport

Has anyone made an error on a passport application that wasn't picked up by the passport office and it was issued.

Did a typo on the application for date of birth and it wasnt spotted so it has been issued with the wrong dob. Have contacted them but not sure how long it will take to get resolved or if I will have to reapply.

Dont have an answer but might you have to send the wrong one back before they’ll issue ( and charge? ) for the replacement?

Just surprised it wasn't picked up at their end as birth certificate is correct.

Hopefully the come back to me soon and advise what to do. But expecting to pay again 😥
