Krabi, Thailand

Hi, we are going to Krabi in Thailand next week for two weeks. My DS (17) is booked in for some Muay Thai boxing training, but we have some free days and are after ideas of good places to visit. We are aware there is a high chance of rain at this time of year, the boxing is the main focus.
Any suggestions of what (and what not) to do would be great!

I've been to Krabi quite a few times as I used to live close by. My favourite beach is Tub Kaek. But as you say, it's the rainy season so probably not beach weather. Some activities you could do are: visit a tailor and get a suit, trousers made, try a cooking course, visit hot springs, visit the Tiger Temple, rock climbing in Railay, kayaking if the sea is suitable, go for a massage (great rainy day activity).

Don't be afraid to eat the street food, and avoid overpriced food in hotels.
Don't forget the mozzie spray. Buy the Feet stuff in the UK.
