It’s the Euro now.

Euro

and a LOT of places, (even one of our hotels) are cash only

Littlesticklebrick · 12/08/2025 21:52

@nannyl thanks for this! We’re only half board so I was taking my card really and just a bit of cash!

I was surpised...

I booked our aiport hotel on booking.com and was immediately messaged with it's cash only. (lots of reviews also mentioned it being cash only)

Several of our trips and excursions were cash only.

We found restaurants that took cards, but we had to ask as a lot didnt.

When we were in Split city centre cards were accepted in most places, but in other places they are really not.

I suggest taking lots of cash, as even the places that accept card, clearly prefer cash.

@nannyl thanks! I’ll make sure we take cash then. It’s only my son and I so I don’t want the trip to go wrong!
