Thinking of going on a day trip to Lapland this December with DD who is 6 and reluctant DH. It is meant to be a special treat as I will be 40 in December! Does anyone have any advice/tips/opinions please. Would it be worth considering going for a couple of days?Am looking at Canterbury Travel - any other recommendations? Thanks.

No advice but I would love to do that! Probably worth going for a couple of days though.

My friend went with her hubby and two boys last Dec, stayed three nights. She raved about it. She booked last minute and got a good deal. Organised trips were part of the package and it she said it was a trip of a lifetime.

I will def go when my boys are a couple of years older. Enjoy!!

Definitely try and go for longer - it is usually much cheaper than going for a day and obviously less rushed. Going for 7 days is also often cheaper than going for 3/4 days. The tripadvisor.com Lapland forums are really helpful.
