Hi,can anyone tell me when getting uber boat Westminster pier to Greenwich do you have to book a specific time or can you buy a ticket and just queue up for the next available one.thanks

I'm pretty sure you just queue up. I don't think you can book.

Just queue for the next one. Prepare to wait if it’s nice weather/summer hols. You can tap on/off with a contactless card as an adult, but if you have children/concessions definitely buy tickets (IME the staff will push you to just tap if it’s busy, but it’s more expensive as it charges the adult rate) - you can buy the tickets on the Uber app if you’d like, I find it more straightforward that way.

If you don’t have to get on at Westminster, consider St George’s Wharf (Vauxhall tube) or better still Battersea Power station (branch of Northern line), as you are more likely to get a seat outside and you can get some great photos of the Houses of Parliament.
