We’re looking for ideas for a European city break in February with 15 and 12 year olds. Any recommendations?

Lisbon, my two loved it at the same age. They enjoyed the old trams, the Castle. Lx Factory Belem, the Quake museum and the aquarium as well as just general wandering about. We had a nice hotel in Saldahna and used the subway, trams and buses to get about. Lots of lovely restaurants too.

Seville. Weather should be perfect. Beautiful city, very walkable, food delicious and extremely good value for Europe.

Seville, Lisbon, Malaga - lots to see - hopefully nice weather.

Google - Luxury Graça Apartment The Most Amazing View of Lisbon to find on Booking dot com. Amazing appt near the famous tram.

Where we live, shove Tuesday falls in the Feb half term next year so we’re planning on taking the dc to the big famous carnival in Nice https://www.nicecarnaval.com/en/ DD1 wants to practice her French and dd2 could spend the entire holiday eating crepes so they’ll be happy. We’ll probably get a hotel with an indoor pool.

I'd definitely stay away from the more northern cities in February. February in Berlin for example is grey, miserable and cold, it's no fun wandering round freezing your arses off.

Good suggestions above!

I had. a great time in Berlin in February. I have a Feb birthday so often do a mini break then, Prague at that time of year is good too as not busy.

@AvidJadeShaker living here just makes me aware of which months I would choose to visit....or not!

Athens. Had a fabulous time there in Feb half term. 16 degrees during the daytime, perfect for walking round all the sights without baking.

Thank you all for the suggestions. We’ll be looking at Lisbon or a Spanish city.

Another vote for Seville

Athens or Rome. So much to see and do your children will love it.
Also love Berlin too. How about Iceland? Dress in layers and the weather won’t be an issue

Be aware Barcelona has a big trade fair around Feb half term. If you find all the prices astronomical it will be that.
Otherwise Barcelona would be good. Usually sunny and whilst not hot it’s usually warmish.

Valencia? We went in Feb half term and loved it. Warm, lots of pretty old areas to wander through plus the arts and sciences area with a good science museum and aquarium.
