Hi does anyone have recommendations for a holiday for a family of 2 adults, a 2 year old and a baby in early Nov. Our requirements are:

  • warm and reasonable flight time from uk
  • Villa accommodation - we are travelling with another family with similar age kids so ideally want a 4 bed villa with space for the adults to hang out while kids are sleeping
  • open to hiring a car, but it would be good to have things within walking distance
  • somewhere that’s not totally inappropriate for kids - some basic things for 2 year olds to do and run around and play
  • somewhere quite pretty and scenic. Doesn’t necessarily have to be a beach town, although that is mostly what has come up in my research

i’ve been thinking about Canary Islands and puerto mogan in Gran Canaria sounds lovely but I can’t find any villa accommodation that would work for our group. A hotel wouldn’t really work for us with kids bedtimes etc. Another option may be playa Blanca in lanzarote but I wasn’t sure if it’s a bit too ‘brits abroad’ which we want to avoid.

However it doesn’t have to be canaries, would welcome any suggestions people have!

DH and I stayed in Costa Teguise in Lanzarote which was a bit less 'brits abroad' than Playa Blanca I think. It was before DS came along, but from memory it felt like a good place to go with young children.

The Canaries are by far the best bet for reliable November weather, although maybe Cyprus (Paphos) could be worth a look as well.
