Hello! Last winter my family (at the time, myself, my partner & our 2 year old daughter) went for some winter sun in Lanzarote, and at the reccomendation of mumsnet articles ended up staying at the H10 Rubicon Palace in Playa Blanca. It was fantastic and met 90%+ of our needs - never done it before, never thought i would ever do it, am now an instant convert.
We've subsequently expanded our family by one son, born in June, and have been discussing doing Winter Sun again this January (in conjunction with another family almost identical in makeup to ours - both will have 3 year old daughters at the time, their son is due any week now).
I presumed it would be pretty easy to find another similar hotel in the Canary Islands that kids clubs / activities for 3 year olds - while many of the hotels advertise kids clubs, they seem to almost all start at age 4 (and this did seem to be pretty strongly enforced at the hotels as well - my daughter, then 2, got kicked off the waterslide for 4 year olds :() . I actually trawled through the entirety of the H10 website and checked every hotel they have but only 2 of them mentioned activities for under 4s! A real pity as she loved Daisy the dancing flower so much and a lot of what H10 did was really good.
I would even have considered going back to H10 Rubicon Palace again, but they lump 3 year olds in an 0-3 category, and i'm pretty sure the girls would be bored to tears being lumped with the babies in the tiny room, not least as they now are in the preschool rooms as their respective nurseries.
Maddeningly, H10 aren't even consistent with their age brackets across the board - H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens f ex does a 3-5 age category which is ideal, but it closes for renovations in January 2026 so isn't an option here.
The babies are a red herring as they will still be limpets and on us 24/7 at that point i'm sure :)
In one sentence - can anyone reccomend nice hotels/resorts in the Canaries with good activities for 3 year olds?
