10 month old - travel cot advice needed

really stuck on this one - need help URGENTLY

most travel cots are 100cm long but some i have noticed like cosatto one and mamasandpapas vogue are 120cm long - basically cot size

have a tallish baby but

when do babies start crawling out of playpens?....do you really need a cot size travel cot or would you get away with standard 100cm...

how much use would standard 100cm size give me for a tallish baby of 10 months? few months or would it really last till two years of age?

cot size travel cots are just so bulky and a pain in order to get extra mattress...but perhaps last longer??

though am curious will you actually use a cot size travel cot when a baby is 2 years old or do they actually hate it by then?

hope thread makes sense...

small travel cot or big travel cot?

would you actually use big travle cot - or what is alternative? sleeping bag?

when do toddlers sleep in beds?

HELP

My DD of 19 months sleeps in a regular size one just fine. They mostly sleep curled in the corner anyway. The other alternative is a blow up ready bed - of course they don't contain the child and they get up and scamper but as long as you can shut the door and keep them safe in there it's fine.

We've got a Century travel cot which I believe is one of the larger ones. Loads of room for my 19month to move around in, although she prefers to just stand in one corner and shout for me.
Mil has a smaller one for when DD goes to stay and although she looks like she takes up all the room, it's perfectly big enough for her. Personally though I prefer the larger travel cots.
Re mattresses, I haven't ever bought another mattress. We do bulk the bottom of the cot out with one of those padded quilted pram things. Hideous thing but handed down to us by very good neighbour so feel we should use it in one way or another!!

Have always used a regular sized one, up to about 2/2.5. Then we have taken a bed guard along and strapped it to the bed.
