Delhi airport - interational to domestic transfer

I'm flying into Delhi from London soon (Virgin) and then transferring to a domestic flight (Indigo). I have 2 hours 15 mins for the transfer. Does anyone know if there is a separate terminal I have to get to and if so if it's walkable or a bus or taxi transfer? I had a bad experience at Mumbai last year when I only made the connection because the Indigo flight was delayed so I want to be prepared this time.

I think that’s tight, last couple of times imitation has been fine, but can be awful. Pretty sure it’s a different terminal.

I've only been through Delhi airport once but the immigration queue was very slow!

The luggage will be checked through. The whole journey has been booked through Virgin so they have to get me to my final destination but yes, it's immigration I'm concerned about.

We landed at Delhi in February and immigration was really quick. I guess it's the luck of the draw.

There might also be separate immigration desks for people with connecting flights — we weren't doing that so I couldn't say.

One thing I can guarantee is that even if you remain air-side throughout the whole procedure you will have to go through security again, and they will find something minor to pick you up on. I was quizzed as to why I had two 1.5V AA batteries in my hand luggage. It didn't slow things down much but it felt a bit stupid.

@squashyhatVirgin Atlantic say the attached! They also recommend getting to Delhi Airport 4 hours before a flight. If it’s the codeshare airline, it could fly from one of 3 terminals. I’ve had experience of Delhi security - slow! The tea trolley goes through (!) but it’s very busy. I would check which terminal and exactly what Virgin arrange in Delhi bearing in mind their web site!
