Passport control at Dover/Calais

Has anyone been lately? Last year we missed our ferry because it took about 90 minutes to get through passport control. Has it got any better? Also we have a mixture of EU and UK passports - can we go in any lane?

@Buttalapasta
We went 2 weeks ago.
Queues were huge! Traffic management staff operating throughout the town - follow their directions and it all worked.
Took about 90 mins to get through.
The ferry companies seemed to just be loading people on to the next ferry so I wouldn't worry (unless your arrival time is critical).
I would assume UK queue for french immigration and EU queue for UK passport control (so the option which isn't 'home' for both). I'm guessing though!

Welcome to Brexit Britain. People can’t claim they were not told. Sadly some others shouted inaccuracies louder.
