China travel vaccinations

i think my research is telling me there are no requirements for China, can anyone reassure me that I’ve understood correctly? Travel clinics will try to sell me things, fair enough , but I don’t think there are any compulsory ones?

Depends where you are going. If you are going to a city and regular tourist spots then no need for anything other than the standard tetanus, hep A etc.

If you are going to trek through the rainforest in Yunnan for 3 weeks then you will need some other vaccines.

No compulsory vaccinations, but standard travel vaccinations would be hep A and typhoid. I lived there for 12 years and was vaccinated against rabies and Japanese encephalitis too, but not necessary if visiting standard tourist sites, although I would avoid contact with cats and dogs.
