I think I am going mad!
About 2 weeks before our family holiday I always start to feel anxious, not about the holiday or travelling but that something will happen to stop us going. Its stopping my excitement 😔
Does anyone else get this?

We are due to drive over to france tomorrow. A 10hr drive tomorrow, then another 6 the next day.

I an so so anxious that something will go wrong! Namely with the car!… Up until today it’s all been on my head. It’s a reliable car, low milage and recently serviced. But then this afternoon a chassis control warning light came on 😩
It’s gone off again now and i have no idea what it was for, but it’s driving me insane with anxiety!

Make sure you have RAC or AA that covers Europe!

And I'm so envious. I love that drive into France at the start of the holiday. Have a great time!

God I read this thread when it was first made, thinking to myself, no, I don’t really have that anxiety. But we were meant to go on holiday today and it’s been cancelled due to airline strikes… Got another holiday booked in its place leaving in a few days but it’s been an anxious few days!

That sucks.
We were meant to go on a city break 3 weeks ago. The plane was cancelled as we were boarding! The airline couldn’t get us there until the day we were coming home. So that was the end of that. We could have gone indirectly via 2 other cities and been 1.5 days late for a 4 day trip, but we decided against that.

Yes I do. I always worry about breaking down on the way. Our daughter was so excited and I did feel bad that I wasn’t. We booked the holiday and loads of things needing replacing at home so I did feel bad we were spending money on a holiday. I get stressed packing because no one else helps and I get a nervous tummy and always feel rough on the coach transfer. This year our 19 year old stayed at home and I felt so guilty he wasn’t with us. Once I got there I did feel better. I do wonder if it worth it.
