TUI Baggage - does weight even if I take 3 cases instead of 4?

Hi All,

Finding it hard to find the answer to my question.

4 of us are travelling, we have 20kg per person - If I just take 3 cases, do they have to still be 20kg or am I safe if I go over a kg or so if I have one less case?

I feel like it is from past experiences, i'm sure I have seen the odd case of ours weighed at 21,22 etc and not had an issue because we have one less case but wondering if anyone knows the actual rules?

You can take 3 cases but each case has a maximum weight of 25kg. I think it's to do with the luggage handlers being able to lift it safely. So your luggage allowance would be 75kg compared to 80kg if you take 3 instead of 4 cases. The extra 5kg could go in your hand luggage as everyone had 10kg. Would that work?
