Holiday recommendations please!

DH and I are planning a holiday for September. On our own…..! (6 DC all grown up and don’t want to come)

So, we don’t need to think about stuff to occupy them etc.

Where would you go, for ideally 10 nights in September for some sea and sun?
We’d like somewhere quite luxurious with a spa and good sized rooms. Preferably on the beach or very close. Walking distance to some bars, restaurants. DH only has one stipulation…the transfer can’t be longer than 1 hour 🙄 (he hates flying then long transfers)

Any ideas would be appreciated! Long haul or short. Thanks!

The Canaries will still be nice in September.

I recently returned from a hotel in Tuscany called Tombolo Talasso, it had a great spa, a lovely pool with padded loungers, bar, nice loos etc. The best bit was sun loungers, umbrella etc on the beach that are reserved for you during your while stay. There was also a restaurant/bar and really good beach toilets. It felt like a beach club and it was so easy to get int the sea which stayed shallow for ages.
We had our breakfast and dinner on a beautiful terrace and you could walk to a little row of restaurants and bars. It was less than hour from Pisa airport.

I’d go Caribbean. Antigua or St Lucia, but I wouldn’t chuck any of the Caribbean islands out of bed!
