We love a haven holiday though id also say pay for the best van you can - it really makes a difference. We love hafan y mor - drive from Glasgow to go there! Haggerston castle is also good though the amusements/soft play/pool feel really squashed together and a bit of a sensory overload. Lakeland is nice and we loved it as a base to explore the lakes. Primrose valley felt crammed and a bit run down last time we were there (6 years ago) but friends have recommended it so we're giving it another go this October. Blue dolphin was nice but is smaller so mainly for a base. Golden sands was lovely though we felt it was a bit rowdy - though we were there the summer after COVID during the euros so that might've played a part in it. The beach there was gorgeous.
