Nau Salema beach village video surveillance

I was all excited to book a holiday at Nau Salema beach village in Portugal but noticed one of the features is “the safety of a video surveillance system”. Does anyone know what this refers to? I’ve checked trip advisor and can’t see anything. Maybe it’s a baby monitor? Or perhaps CCTV, but if so, where? I e mailed them to ask but haven’t had a response.

Stayed there two summers ago and never noticed anything…it’s a fairly spread out resort, as the per the description it’s more of a village so maybe they have CCTV on the roads where the properties are. The houses are huge, and the views from them insane. Would recommend requesting a house further up the hill to make the most of the views and to be closer to the pool. They are brilliant at transporting you around on golf buggies. It can be quite windy and the pool was pretty chilly. In peak season definitely book restaurants in the town in advance.

Possibly it covers the communal areas and car park.

Have stayed there and the villas are lovely. You are aware of the steep hill down to the beach, I assume?

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Yes aware of the steep hill, doesn’t phase us too much.

Thanks- interesting about pool temperature, which month did you stay in? Did you ever have any issues with sun lounger hogging?

It was late August. No issues with sun loungers from what I remember. The beach was absolutely beautiful. Lovely and sandy and the kids loved it down there. Sea was cold, being the Atlantic, but didn’t seem to bother them much they just wanted to fill their buckets for the sandcastles. If you aren’t hiring a car, Ubers are plentiful. I easily went to local big supermarket and back by taxi
