European holiday ideas with older teens

I feel at a bit of a loss as to what to do for a family holiday with older teenagers and would welcome any suggestions.

I have two boys, who will be 19 and 17 next summer. They get on fine but aren't really close. One is pretty sporty and sociable, the other is happy to read and play games. I'd love somewhere peaceful with the option to cook at home but also eat out without driving. Pool and seaside enjoyed by all.

We had a bit of a disastrous holiday to a remote villa in France last year. We had a pool shared with a couple of other villas and there was a pool table/games but my sporty/sociable DS went a bit stir crazy as it was too isolated. Big trip to America this year to see family but not something we'll be doing again anytime soon.

I'm just not sure how to juggle everyone's needs and whether we should call it quits on family holidays (for now anyway). I'd be interested to hear what works for others with older teens and grateful for any recommendations.

We are a family with 5 kids from 14 to 22 . Just back from one of our best trips ever . Started in Ljubljana for a night , then three nights at Lake Bled .
It was stunning ! Swam in the lake, did 4km zip lining over a river , rafting , gorge walking ! Stayed in a beautiful, simple B and B .
Then moved on to Austria for a bit of all inclusive luxury in Val Saa Alpineresort in Saalbach . We had skied there previously but was lovely in summer .
We did mountain walks, tennis, mini golf , SUP in Zell am See !
A really fantastic holiday and I highly recommend . All mine loved it .

Hi. It was so good ! No we didn’t hire a car and got a transfer from Bled to Austria . It was about 380 euro but there are 7 of us !
We had one slightly wet day in Bled and one in Austria . But still was warm and we were able to swim , walk etc . So nice being able to do so much after a disastrous , 40 degree holiday in Turkey last year .
This was the B and B . https://veldes-bled.si/. If you do decide to go DM me at any stage and I’ll send you links to the activities we did, restaurants we are in .
Eating out in Bled was terrific value . But we live in Dublin so anything seems cheap ……
