Desperately in need of a beach holiday in September!

Hi all,

After a really busy year myself and DH are desperate to get away in September for a beach break to relax. We're looking for somewhere in Europe and no longer than an hour transfer from the airport. In an ideal world we would like somewhere with a beautiful beach/pool where we could go out for dinner in the evening outside of the hotel. We're open to eating at the hotel as long as its not a buffet! No children but it doesn't need to be adults only, we aren't fussed about budget and can splash out for somewhere special. Please leave your hotel suggestions below, thank you 😊

Ikos hotels in Greece, Lykia hotels in Turkey. All countries will have luxury hotels/private beach. Once you have narrowed the country down, filter hotels on Trip Advisor for reviews.

We were thinking Greece or Spain but are looking for specific recommendations as there are just so many options. We've been to ikos Olivia and Oceania which was good but we dont really drink so all inclusive is a bit of a waste!

Minos Beach Art hotel in Crete. I’ve never been but it looks idyllic.

This looks like the type of thing were after although the beach looks quite small!

@boulevardofbrokendreamss that hotel looks amazing. I’ve never been to Ibiza and am planning a trip there next summer.

DH and I stayed here 14 years ago. The only change seems to be that it’s got a bit smarter.

We don’t tend to stay in hotels but I can also recommend Fisherman’s Cottage near Kassiopi.

Have a look at Monte Mulini in Croatia. It’s got similar vibes to Minos Beach Art

That looks dreamy!

The Imperial Hotel in Corfu is lovely, great food and service and only 20 minutes from the airport. It has two small beaches and two pools all very close to each other, and four restaurants plus the main one which does buffets. Can highly recommend!

Sani in Greece. Lovely but £££. Same oweners as IKOS but not AI. 4 different hotels. Of no kids, avoid Beach. Dine around menus and lots of restaurants to chose from in the hotels and on the marina.

Paros is divine. We stayed at White Blossom apart-hotel in Parikia which was small and gorgeous (they don't do food though).

Or Hotel Lone or Hotel Park in Rovinj Croatia. Croatian beaches aren't great but the pools are lovely.
