I’m looking at Cape Verde for Easter next year. Just wondered how windy it is and if that makes it unpleasant? Ie is it too windy on the beach, cold to go into the pool etc
Also any hotel recommendations for a family of 4 (DC aged 13 and 11). Thanks!

Following as I’m also looking at Cape Verde but thinking around June. From what I’ve read, winds are steady but not too strong around April. Have you been before? We are looking at the Melia Dunas Beach resort

No one not been. I was looking at that hotel too!
I was just asking about the winds as I have been to Costa teguise in Lanzarote which is windy and it was quite chilly.

I have heard a lot of negatives about it but we went in September a few years ago with teens and had a great time. There isn't a lot to do but we were only there for a week and went snorkelling, paddled with (baby) sharks, saw hatching turtles and went into the dessert on quad bikes.
Some hotels are HUGE and not great but we stayed at The Melia Tortuga and had a lovely 2 bedroom suite
