Hi, can anyone recommend an English beach that’s good for rock pools? Somewhere south is preferable. We went to westward ho a couple of times but we want to go somewhere different. My son loves it! Thx

Sorry I am no help but I wanted to know this exact thing too.

The north coast of Cornwall is rock pool heaven. Earlier this year when we visited DS spent ages watching small fish in the pools at Chapel Porth beach (St Agnes) & Porthtowan.

Combesgate Beach, reachable from Woolacombe

There are some good rock pool beaches in Kent-Botany Bay, Louisa Bay, Folkestone Warren, Reculver-to name just 4 of our haunts! Obviously check the tides before you plan your trip. If you coincide with a VERY low tide, Herne Bay is good for fossils.

Are there any rockpool beaches near Fowey?

Hannafore at Looe? Free parking on the marine drive too...although not easy to find a space in school holidays!

Google and see what AI says. I think it would be OK - at low tide, of.course.
