Alana Beachclub Croatia - Neilson

After a bit of anecdotal from those who have been! DD 12 is booked into Hotshots at this one in August (8-13 more instruction included, focus on water sports) as she has done some sailing and paddle boarding and would like to try windsurfing, seemed logical. Included Surfsquad for her age group has the schedule on the app when we were looking this evening, looks fun and quite chilled so she is dithering. No schedule available for Hotshots which is annoying. Not keen on being locked in to windsurf if she hates it and has the fear of ending up looking after the younger ones (have said this is unlikely).

Anyone got any experience of how the Hotshots interface with the other kids clubs and how easy it might be to switch between them? Any info gratefully received!

Thank you for reading!

Thinking of Neilson for a post-GCSE trip, just me and my son, next year, wondered how your trip went OP? My son is very shy and I wondered how the kids club staff would be with encouraging him to get involved

Very sadly we didn’t go in the end due to broken leg 🙈. So sorry I can’t help! I was gutted!!

I more or less “live at Alana Beachclub”, my favourite place, 40 weeks and counting in total so far - and just packing again.
Alas I can’t answer specifics about the kids clubs except to say they have an absolute ball, but happy to answer any other questions 😃

We went this summer and had an amazing time. My DD 15 loved the clubs and would go again. Just browsing about going back next year...

What I would say is that it seemed great for single parents - it was very friendly and people just go on with each other.

I love Alana too, going back next summer (thank you to whoever scheduled inset days at the end of the holiday meaning it’s affordable). My DD is much younger, she’s been a Sea Urchin 3 times. Each time loved it. For us it’s the perfect mix of time as a family, couple and on my own!!! Last time she was old enough to have an opinion on whether she joined us for an activity or went to kids club, honestly unless we were swimming she nearly always choose kids club.
Its worth giving them a ring, as they might be able to find last years hot shots time table for you. The only thing I’ve ever noticed though, is sometimes it might only be 1 or 2 kids, which might be great in terms of instruction, but I suspect they miss out a bit on playing with peers.
