Don't laugh at this one but me and DH and kids flying to Edinburgh on Thursday so do we need passports?

I know it is still the UK but do we need them for ID purposes do you think? Only me and DH have them!!

It is yonks since I have flown so thinking that perhaps everything has changed since then (what with terrorists and all that)

Polly,
your kids need photographic id, I think.

No, they don't! I live in Edinburgh and we recently flew to Southampton. Dh and I took our passports, DS didnt need any ID - they only need that if going abroad.

thanks for that but anyone else.

they don't have any photgraphic ID at all (perhaps we should get them arrested for something and take their 'wanted' posters?)

Well I fly all the time Glasgow - London and back - and I take DD1's passport as she is a paying passenger (ie aged 4 has her own seat) but not DD2's as she sits on my lap. Not sure if passport for DD1 necessary tho. Why don't you check airline's website?
