Turkey as a single parent?

My children are 12 and 10 both with SEN, quite demanding in terms of attention needed. This is my life and I’m ok with it.

We’ve been to Spain and Portugal over the last 2 years, before that I wouldn’t have even contemplated a holiday due to anxiety/attachment associated with new places.

i haven’t booked anywhere this year yet but I need a break. 😬

Prices are extortionate but I’ve found a few hotels in Turkey which are within my budget.

I’ve never been to Turkey before; so I wondered if anyone could comment on how ‘safe’ we’d feel?

Sorry if this seems an odd question, but it’s never having been there before!

Any experiences? 🙏🏼

I took my three children as a single parent last year (dc were 11, 11 and 17). Generally I felt safe-the Turkish were friendly. What put me off going back is the constant hassling to sell you stuff/get you in shops.

With Turkey you need to consider that the temp can be much higher than Spain and Portugal. Also look at how long the transfer time is.
