Madrid??? and toledo

Has anyone been? Where did you stay. Going to try and take my dh fr his 40th in the next few weeks as he has always wanted to visit Toledo.

Seen some great deals on lastminute with hotels but wondered if anyone here had any recommendations. The Melia Princesa seems nice.

Any advice about best things to do in Madrid are also welcome. I have only been once years ago while interrailing and just remember the palace and a big park and tapas bars.

Madrid and Toledo are both fantastic! You can do Toledo in a day trip from Madrid.

has anyone got any good ideas for lovely hotels to stay at and where is a good area to stay in? Only going for a couple of nights so want to be central and be able to walk to places if possible.

Has anyone been in Feb? Is it as cold as March here or cooler?
