Ile de Re or La Rochelle campsites!

We are going this weekend… eek! Kids are 3,5,7.

We want somewhere with AC and water slides plus possibly kids entertainment. La Grainetiere is on the list. Eden L’Ocean village also was on until I discovered no AC.

any suggestions!?

(yes I know it’s late)

@mamato3rascals Not sure what you mean by AC. We’ve been here dozens of times over the years, last time was 2019. Lovely family site. Beautiful pool. It’s a bit further south than La Rochelle but it’s a fantastic area for families. Site has spacious pitches for tents and tourers and a few of their own statics.

Ile de Re does not have large water slide/aquatic parc-type sites.
La Rochelle does, and this one is nearby

good slides etc. very large parc. We had a nice premium-area mobile that was seemingly brand new, and it definitely had AC which we used a lot as it was 39 degrees some days there.

Just realised you meant Air Con! I assumed when you said camping that you had your own tent!

Stayed there many times and never had air con, sea breeze did the trick. La tranche sur mer has a nice site

This campsite is amazing. Great pool and loads of fun evening entertainment (and we aren't really evening entertainment or package holiday-type people!). We stayed there in our own tent.

Our boys were about 7 and 9 at the time. We visited ĂŽle de RĂ© (so beautiful) and spent a lot of time wandering around La Rochelle.
