Car seat hire abroad

Looking at holidays for next summer - my kids will be 2 and 5, thinking about Italy.

what would I do about car seats? I remember horror stories but that was yonks ago before I had children. In Europe can you basically get them from the hire company and they’re fine now?

We looked into this for Spain, theres a website a colleague recommended called DoYouSpain and you could ask for child seats depending on age of the child.

I'd like to think there's a similar website available for Italy.

Momininitaly.com she covers car seats in Italy pretty well with her advice. One time we bought as much cheaper whilst there.

We've always just added car seats to the hire car booking. Always been able to choose the right sizes and was either free or only cost a few euros. Never had any crappy looking seats.
