Venice day trips

We’re off to Lido de Jesolo soon and planning on popping into Venice for a day trip or 2. My brain is getting bogged down with the prepaid museum passes etc, has anyone been into Venice later, how did you access the sites?

I just walked around, and got a boat pass, went out to the islands a few times, one where they make glass? Don’t think you need any sort of museum pass, but I suppose it depends on what you want to do. I think Saint Mark’s you’ll definitely have to pre book at this time of year.

Thanks, I think we’d probably want to go to St Marks basicala and Doges Palace. Going with late teens so probably mooching around the streets/shops/eating will suit them better. Possibly murano and burano but I’m assuming we don’t need to book for that.

I would book those, but keep the rest relaxed. It’s part of the joy of Venice, not planning too much, walking around and taking it all in. Young people get a discount on the boat pass too.
