Thanks to the lovely people on here we are booked for a week in late July at the above hotel in Zell am See. What clothes do we need to pack? Weather appears to be good this time of year but unsure what I will need for the day/evening? How about for my young teenage and tween sons and husband? Do we need to ‘dress’ for dinner? Tips welcome!

Summer wear for the daytime plus a light jacket, maybe a light fleece or rain jacket. Warm in the day and cooler at night/early morning.

Dress code is on their website - casual/sporty is fine for breakfast, for dinner in the hotel it's smart casual (smart long shorts are ok for men)

It’s a lovely hotel, the meals were really good. I was smart casual which was fine. We went in August, tshirt/short weather but layers if you go up a mountain, it was nippy up there so I bought a fleece in one of the shops.

It's around 10 years or so since we went, and I can't remember enough detail to comment on the weather, but you have picked a truly lovely hotel. We have stayed in much grander places over the years, but it still ranks as one of my all-time favourites. Enjoy!

We stayed there many times for our ski holidays . Fabulous food , spotless hotel . Great memories !

We never felt there was a dress code. It's an active hotel - skiing and hill walking/ biking . Anything goes .

Hi,
We were booked into Stadt Wien for June this year but ended up having to cancel.
Would you recommend it? I don't normally like having dinners in the hotel but the food seems to be rated highly enough?
Considering for next summer..
Cheers

We are here now! It’s lovely, food great (may be a bit hit or miss if you are vegetarian etc). Main issue we have had is weather, until today it’s been rainy and 15/16 degrees, although next week it’s meant to be at least 10 degrees higher 😬
we have still had a great time though and it’s a really active holiday. The Sumner card provides amazing value and you don’t really need to dip into your pockets for anything.
