Hello

Is there any nice hotels suitable for kids to stay for a couple of days Bournemouth way. We will be travelling by car. Daughter has requested a swimming pool. This will be our only holiday in tthe ummer so any places of interest recommendations will be greatly appreciated too.

Thanks

Chewton Glen if budget isn’t an issue.

CG is not very near Bournemouth. I prefer Sandbanks. Harbour Hotel or Sandbanks Hotel both have pools. Beach is great in that area too. Get the chain ferry over to Studland and you can also get to Brownsea Island to try and see the red squirrels. It’s so lovely there!

The Carlton has a pool. Some years since I’ve been there so can’t comment on what it’s like these days.

The Nici if you have a big budget

Wowzel · 27/06/2025 14:35

I've often wanted to stay in the Nici!

The Cumberland has an outdoor pool.
The Laguna is a budget hôtel with an indoor pool. It's dated but ok. There were a lot of stag and hen parties using it when we stayed there.

Cumberland Hotel

Knoll House Hotel is over the way at Studland. Its a bit marmite, i love its 60s vibe and can see past the fact its not immaculate. It has indoor and outdoor pool, game room, pitch and putt, tennis course, access to Knoll beach and walks out the back on the heath towards agglestone rock. You can bus to swanage or Bournemouth direction from the road pitside the hotel

Sandbanks hotel is well located, has a nice beach and pools (indoor and outdoor) and access to Studland over the ferry. Definitely family friendly.

Do not go to the Trouville Hotel! Cheap but anything but cheerful😀

TizerorFizz · 27/06/2025 17:19

If you are going as far as Studland - Pig on the Beach?

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 27/06/2025 21:04

I wouldn’t put Pig on the Beach in a family friendly list. We’d get a caravan, pay more
for a lodge.

Me too, but I only live up the road so can’t really justify it

Marsham court hotel - outdoor pool and family friendly

TizerorFizz · 27/06/2025 23:00

@boulevardofbrokendreamss I don’t agree. Dc are welcome and catered for. Glorious setting. Here is what they say.
